Puppy Photo Paw-ty at Al Quaal

Last year we did headshots for humans, this year we’re doing photos of your fur babies! Bring your dog(s) out to Al Quaal Recreation Area on Saturday, September 28th for a 15 minute photo session with one of our local photographers – Lauren Bareiss and Adam Rifenburgh.

As the fall colors start to set in, we couldn’t be more excited for this dog filled afternoon in the park! When you arrive, you’ll meet at the pavilion to check in with a Connect Marquette Board Member. They will direct you from there to your designated photo location. You’ll need to walk a short distance as we’ve separated each location will be separate so dogs aren’t distracted by each other.

We only have 21 time slots open, so make sure to register before they fill up! Registration will end at 9pm on September 27th so we can plan accordingly.

Donations for this event will go to the Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Center!

Important Puppy Photo Paw-ty Details:

• Donating to a Local Cause
  • Donations will be given to Marquette County’s Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Center
  • Donations are $10 per time slot
• Arrive Early
  • Please arrive at least 20 minutes before your time slot – there will be a designated waiting area and you’ll need time to walk over to your photo location
• Multiple Dogs?
  • You’ll need to sign up for multiple time slots unless you plan to have them all in the photo together – no group and solo photos
  • If you want solo photos of more than one dog, you’ll need to register for a second time slot – which does mean paying the donation fee more than once
  • We’ll be limiting group photos to 3 dogs to make sure they’re easy enough to manage and fit into the frame well
• Be Responsible
  • You will be responsible for bringing treats, giving your dog commands, and picking up after them – if you allow your dog off leash, it is up to you to ensure they have good recall
• Reactive or Unfriendly Dogs
  • If you have a reactive dog or a dog that does not like other dogs, we do not recommend bringing them to this event, you will be in a waiting area with at least a few other pet owners at one time.
• Turn Around Time
  • The keepers for each pet will be emailed directly to you through Google Drive folders within 2 weeks of the event. We will aim for quicker, but these photographers as volunteering their time, please be patient as they process your pups photos!
• No promises
  • We are not guaranteeing a specific amount of photos of your dog, but we will try to do our best to get at least 3 good ones per pup during your 15 minute timeslot!
