Our Committees
Events Committee
The events committee plans, coordinates, and executes events for the members of Connect Marquette that meet our mission (to facilitate the growth of talent, connections, community, and leadership opportunities in Marquette County). The events committee meets monthly. Members who are interested in joining the committee are welcome to join meetings as time allows.
If you have any interest in joining this committee, feel free to contact cmqtevents@gmail.com or come to a meeting.

Conference Committee
The Connect Marquette Conference Committee manages the planning, fundraising, and execution of the annual fall conference. The group meets once a month about half the year and bi-weekly in the four to five months leading up to Conference. From finding speakers and securing a venue, to ordering SWAG and promoting the event, committee members have a hand in all aspects of the largest one day professional development event offered by the organization.

Iron Range Roll Committee
The Connect Marquette Iron Range Roll Committee manages all aspects of the Iron Range Roll bike race from planning and promotion to race day set-up and the after awards ceremony. The Iron Range Roll is a 16 mile bike race along the Iron Ore Heritage Trail starting in Ishpeming and ending in Marquette. The proceeds from the event go toward supporting the YMCA’s Youth Programs.
The Committee meets once a month from October – April and then once a week from May to June leading up to race day on the first Saturday of June. If you are interested in learning more or joining the Iron Range Roll Committee, please contact us at ironrangeroll@connectmarquette.org.

Marketing Committee
The Marketing & Communications Committee works closely with the other Connect Marquette committees to promote events or group initiatives through digital and print marketing. Using primarily social media, email, and our website, we share details to grow event participation and keep our members informed. Additionally the committee communicates with outside sources like community event calendars and local media groups to share who we are, what we do, and why.
If you are interested in joining the Marketing & Communications Committee, please reach out at cmqtmarketing@gmail.com to learn when our next meeting will be.
Membership Committee
The Connect Marquette Membership Committee manages over 100 memberships through our online platform and outreach. The committee members assist with onboarding new members, renewing memberships, and development of recruiting initiatives to create a robust and connected network. We partner with other committees to create events that cater to members getting the most out of their subscription.
The committee is currently meeting once a month. If you are interested in learning more or joining the Membership Committee, please contact us at cmqtmembership@gmail.com.

Volunteer Committee
The volunteer committee was established in 2019 as a way to give our members and public an opportunity to get involved in our core values. The committee plans and coordinates volunteer opportunities throughout the year.. We have partnered with several community organizations and non-profit over the years to support their needs in the community including The Salvation Army “Adopt a Family” program, Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly Senior Gift Drive, and The U.P. 200 Sled Dog Race among others. We also provide volunteers for Connect Marquette flagship events like the Iron Range Roll and Annual Professional Development Conference. We are always open to discussing new volunteer opportunities to be involved with!
The volunteer committee meets quarterly. Members who are interested in joining the committee are welcome to join the meetings. Email cmqtvolunteer@gmail.com for more information.
