The Iron Range Roll is back for its 13th year and is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 6th, 2026. This 12 mile point-to-point bike race is a family friendly, yet competitive, event that in previous years has seen racers from as young as six years old to over 80 years old competing as individuals or racing as a team.
The race will begin at 1pm from the Cliffs Shaft Mine Museum in Ishpeming and from there competitors will make their way down the Iron Ore Heritage Trail through Ishpeming, Negaunee, and finally into Marquette Township, where the race will end near Barrel + Beam.
Following the race, the after party will be hosted at Barrel + Beam where racers can enjoy a complimentary meal and the exciting award presentation for our top placing racers.
Connect Marquette is able to host the Iron Range Roll each year because of the generosity of community volunteers and event sponsors, and is once again actively seeking both event sponsors and volunteers to help contribute to a successful event.
Open volunteer opportunities are available for signup on the Iron Range Roll website and include everything from packet pickup, course setup and takedown, after party help, race photography, and more. A business sponsorship package guide is also available on the website.
In 2025, the Iron Range Roll raised over $8,000 for the YMCA of Marquette County’s Youth Programs and Aspen Ridge Middle School. Over the past 12 years, the Iron Range Roll has donated over $68,000 to the youth programs at the YMCA!
Connect Marquette is proud of this event and so grateful to our community for supporting us all these years. This year, race proceeds will again benefit YMCA of Marquette County Youth Programs, and additionally Aspen Ridge Middle School, whose students will be generously helping with this year’s race.
We’re also excited to announce new Race Director and committee Co-Chair, Alex Palzewicz. She’ll be joining us as one of the core planning members for 2025 and hopefully years to come!
