Get to know the Connect Marquette Vice President, soon to be 2022-2023 President, Krystina Gwinn! Krystina is also current Membership Co-Chair, but has been a part of several committees in the past including Conference and Events.
When asked about her favorite Connect Marquette or 40 Below Memory, she said:
I have so many great memories depending on the different stages of my involvement with the organization. Top memories over the years include the rebranding session at the Landmark, being on the conference committee in 2018, working on the by-laws this past summer and seeing all the new faces at our I’m New What Do I Do event in October!
Outside of Connect Marquette, Krystina works for Upper Peninsula Health Plan as Customer Service Manager. She enjoys cooking for her friends and family, tapping into her creative side with arts and crafts or planning her next home renovation projects. On weekends you can find Krystina drinking coffee, reading suspense-thriller novels, playing Settlers of Catan, gardening in the summer, knitting in the winter, and walking her cats Nash and Luna.
Krystina’s advise to you for getting the most out of your Connect Marquette membership is:
Get the most out of your membership by routinely attending events. Put your name in the Econ Club drawings, come to a monthly social, attend a lunch with leaders, or sit in on a committee meeting. Take the time to learn more about the organization and see where you’ll fit best. One day you’re going to a social, then joining a committee, next you know it your joining the board of directors, and might be president of an pretty cool organization. (wink face) Don’t be afraid to say hi (wave hand) I like getting coffee, beer or even going for a walk if you want to connect on all things connect or general life interests.
