Connect Marquette is teaming up with Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly (Marquette) this holiday season. Our organization will be accepting non-perishable goods and items listed below.

Location Address:  Designated drop-off location (LSCP Lobby located at 501 S Front St).

Start/end date and time: Accepting donations Nov 9th – Nov 13th at LSCP lobby: M-Th 8AM - 5PM, Friday 8AM - noon.

Description: Throughout December (25) brightly wrapped Christmas boxes will be delivered to elderly residents who are low-income, have little or no family support, and are alone during the holidays. Each food box is filled with 19 non-perishable food items such as canned hams, Trenary Toast, coffee, and other goodies.  All 25 boxes will be distributed right here in Marquette County.

You can help by signing up and selecting the item(s) you wish to donate.  We will also need one or two volunteers to deliver the goods to the office located at 1716 Presque Isle Ave in Marquette. We would like to account for all items by November 13th, so don’t delay in making a difference for our seniors this holiday season by signing up! If you want to also include a holiday card to brighten up their winter, please feel free to do so!

Connect Marquette list of acceptable donated goods: Up to 25 of each is the goal.

  1. Jars of spaghetti sauce like Hunts or Ragu
  2. Keweenaw Jam
  3. Andes thin mints (28 ct. box)
