This event marks the official beginning of the Connect Marquette Book Club!
We will be discussing Daniel Pink's Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us. This book was selected by a vote of interested Connect Marquette members, and should provide tons of interesting conversation.
In the book, Pink "asserts that the secret to high performance and satisfaction-at work, at school, and at home—is the deeply human need to direct our own lives, to learn and create new things, and to do better by ourselves and our world." (Goodreads)
If you have questions, feel free to email email@example.com.
This first meeting of this members-only group will be held remotely, though the plan is for these meetings to eventually transition to face-to-face events.
We suggest you read the entirety of the book before this meeting. However, if you haven't yet finished, you are still free to participate in the discussion.
This initiative began with a survey of members, which made it clear that people were very interested in the idea of a CM book club. From the Survey results, we found that our members want to read books that focus on Personal Development and Leadership. This first book is certain to touch on both those principals.
We urge you to shop local for your copy of this book & support our local economy!
A few days prior to the event, registrants will receive a link to the Zoom meeting.
